Depending on the size of your project, StoneCraft carefully implements the necessary site preparations for the longevity of its build. Some sites require careful hand-digging due to complicated ground-laid utilities or well-manicured properties. Other require heavy excavation or preparation work. Whatever the circumstances, StoneCraft offers complete services that are customized to the work at hand.
Additionally, all of our outdoor work is assembled on proper footings that are specific to the project at hand. There is no general, one-size-fits-all when it comes to footings. In the Northeastern United States, winter ground freezes. As a result of such freezing, projects that do not feature an appropriate footing will likely 'heave' and become shifted, cracked or fall apart. StoneCraft remedies such potential disasters by properly excavating footings according to the needs of the project.
Some footings consist of concrete that is mixed and poured onsite. In such cases, StoneCraft utilizes a battery of concrete mixes with appropriate aggregates, and at a level of 3500 pounds per square inch, or greater. It is true, the footings are often 'over-built', but this ensures our clients and all those viewing the finished project will have a visual pleasure for many years to come.
In other cases, projects supporting less weight or dimension may be suitable for other materials such as crushed stone, stone dust and even sand. Rest assured, StoneCraft is properly qualified to discern the needs of your project and ensure you a timeless finished product that is warrantied for life!
